Varanappally is well known family in the holy history of
saint Guru Narayana. This is located near by Puthupally, South west of Kayamkulam City. Guru Narayana had been lived here for his higher studies
from Kummamppilly Raman Pillai Asan; a great scholar without
untouchability from Nayar Community who had been lived near the south
east of this family. The Guru has been getting holy wisdom and bliss
from Lord Krishna during his living at this place.This is one of the
ancient and rich well family among the community of
Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava in this region

DeleteI'm myself from the Varanapalli family and I know our history more than anyone else. Me and why whole family members are Ezhavas (Panickers). None of my family is a Thiyyar! There are 6 sub families under the Varanapalli family. I'm living in one of the sub families (and too that on my ancestral home).
